OK, now I feel really old.
Was it that long ago that the cassette player ceased to exist?

The kids in this video are shown a Walkman and asked to figure out what it is.
The responses are funny and disturbing at the same time.
Especially when one of the kids says that their Grandfather has one of these, when referring to a set of headphones.
