I've never met someone who loves corn on the cob more than my little boy does. John's love of corn rivals my love of coffee and that's a massive statement. Whenever I'm making a meal, John starts jumping up and down, claps his hands, and shrieks, "Coooooorn!" whether I'm making the veggie or not. Just the thought that I could be is exciting in his little world.

I love this time of year because it's one of the best times to snag fresh corn on the cob, but removing the husk and all those pesky pieces of silk is less than thrilling. But, have no fear! The kitchen editors at America's Test Kitchen have shared an easy way to husk corn and it's a way that I would never have thought of on my own.

So, what's the trick? Apparently, we should be using the microwave to partially steam the cobs so all we have to do is slip them out of the husk and the silks slide right off too. No mess to clean up, just more time to devour the sweet goodness.

Watch, be amazed, and then try for yourself!
