The New York Giants have made the post season for the first time since their Super Bowl winning season five years ago.

If you're a Giants fan you already know this team does not win games with ease, they don't blow out teams or build big leads and keep them.

In 2007 and 2012 Big Blue silenced all the doubters in the NFL football world with two amazing Superbowl wins against arguably the best team in football history, the New England Patriots.

Both of those years the Giants entered the playoffs as a wildcard team, winning games on the road against teams that were picked to pummel them.

This year they are the fifth seed and will have to play on the road at either Green Bay, Detroit, Atlanta, Tampa Bay or Seattle.

If I had my choice I would want another shot at the Lions, with the Bucs being my second choice but we don't get to pick, so we'll wait and see how the playoff picture unfolds after this weekend.

The Giants are coming off a close game with Philly in which they could not bounce back from a costly turnover against a team that would not give up.

I think the Giants have to focus on the same kind of mentality the Eagles brought to last Thursday nights game, and they'll have to do it without the fans.

Big Blue's defense has improved and the have put together some kind of running game that will help keep drives going and increase their time of possession.

The Giants finish out the regular season with another NFC matchup as they travel to the nations capital to take on the Washington Redskins.

Catch all the action with Bob Papa and company starting with the Pre-Game show this Sunday January at 12 noon, and keep it here after the game for head coach Ben McAdoo's press conference and team interviews on your station for NY Giants Football 991 the whale.
