The Birth of Motley Crue
January 17th,1981 we were introduced to a new band. It was a band that would rock the world along with bringing a whole new level of drama.
That band is Motley Crue, consisting of Tommy Lee on drums, Mick Mars on guitar, Vince Neil on the microphone and Nikki Sixx on bass guitar. The band rose to fame rather quickly.
From 1981 to 2000, the Crue recorded nine albums. My favorite has to be their third album released in 1985 - 'Theatre of Pain', featuring the hit songs Home Sweet Home and a cover of Brownsville Station's Smokin' In The Boys Room.
On December 31st, 2015, Motley Crue played their last show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and with that, the band was history. The guys decided it was time to retire one of the most successful hard rock bands on the planet.
Let's honor this amazing band with a look at how they rocked the stage with Home Sweet Home in 2008.
