The B-Mets are surprising everyone with their playoff run. After getting into the first round, they won gained entry into the Championship series.

Last night was game 1 and... they won! In their first Eastern League Championship Series appearance in 20 years, the team came out firing. Brandon Nimmo and Darrell Ceciliani's bats were key in the win and Cody Satterwhite, who was shaky in the first round of playoffs had a perfect 9th inning. The 5-2 score was hard fought.

Tonight, Greg Peavey, my favorite pitcher, is on the mound. He comes into the game with an 11-3 season record and a 2.90 ERA. Not bad at all! In his 4th year in the minors, Peavey has found his groove. I am very comfortable that he is the starter tonight.

Brian Burgamy, one of the Eastern League All Stars for 2014, is one guy I'd love to see have a great night. Again, one of my favorite players. Any guy who can outshine Nick Swisher, is a heck of a player and that is what Burgamy did against a rehabbing Swisher in June.

Tonight's game is at 6:35 with a 6:20 pregame on our sister station 1290 WNBF AM.

Pedro Lopez is piloting a very talented ship. Friday the B-Mets bring the series home for game 3 game time is 7:05. Tickets are still available and don't forget about the post game fireworks too. Ticket info is here.

Go B-Mets!!!!!!
