Tenney Featured on Moving Billboard in Binghamton, JC and Vestal

Congresswoman Claudia Tenney's image is displayed in a mobile message paid for by a coalition of progressive groups.

A truck featuring a bright LED-light display is traveling around Broome County this week.

The signs states "Tenney voted against our relief checks." It adds: "Tell her not to vote against our jobs." The message indicates the campaign is being paid for by the Green New Deal Network.

Tenney, who represents the 22nd Congressional District, joined all House Republicans in voting against President Biden's Covid-19 relief bill.

In casting her vote, Tenney said she was disappointed "only a small fraction" of the measure was focused on "ley health policies." She said the bill would spend money on things "that have nothing to do" with the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Green New Deal Network did not respond to a request for comment about the Binghamton advertising campaign.

The driver of the sign truck said the five-day campaign involves driving a circuit around Binghamton, Johnson City and Vestal. He said the truck is on the road eight hours a day.
