My opening weekend at camp adventures continue.

Camp opened a week late. Yea, it was a tough 7 days to have to add to six long months of waiting, but somehow, I made it through.

It's that time of year, again. Time to give up the fantasy that summer won't end.

Can you imagine working from inside (or outside) your RV or camper with the scenery of a national park, or maybe at a campground on the shores of the Atlantic, Pacific or Gulf?

For me, that light is May 1st, and if you know me well, you know what I'm talking about.

The most satisfying thing about spending time at the campground, are the weekend get togethers.

Since I've been working at 99.1 The Whale since radio began (or so people tell me), I've accumulated a few weeks of time off per year.

It's time to pull out the lawn chair, grab a cold one or two and gaze over the vastness of the Endless Mountains once again.

My first exposure to spending an overnight in the great outdoors, was not in a travel trailer or even a tent.
