Forget what you've heard about daylight-saving time being all about helping farmers way back when. That might have had its part, but it's not the whole story.

A state senator is leading the push to make daylight saving time permanent across New York and the entire Northeast.

Last year a lot of states were pushing to end daylight savings time. Here we are a year later, and we are still springing ahead this weekend.

This Sunday morning at 2 a.m., daylight saving time begins. And, if some lawmakers in Washington get their way, you will never have to change your clocks again.
