Broome County plans to apply this summer to join the AARP Network of Age-Friendly Communities.

The New York State Office for Aging is recognizing an Endwell woman as this year’s Older Volunteer of the Year.

AARP used to stand for American Association of Retired Persons, however that acronym has since been trashed because the organization is no longer targeting just retired people.
