Normally, my home haven, Susquehanna is quiet and relaxed. Well, that is about to change! Yesterday as I was heading over the Veteran's Memorial bridge into town I saw "carnie" trucks littered everywhere.

They are there as part of Susquehanna Hometown days that runs Thursday through Saturday 6 to 11 pm. It seems like there will be more rides than usual. I am excited!

That isn't the only reason residents are bustling around with purpose. There are two more things going on. First is the annual rummage sale at Christ Episcopal Church on Main Street. That is happening Thursday and Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and then Saturday is a two dollar bag sale from 9 am to 1 pm. The proceeds help community projects.

I love bag sales. you can get so much for two dollars. You know where I will be.

On Saturday is another event. This one is very close to my heart. It's the Legion Riders Fallen Heroes Run. The American Legion Post 86 Legion Riders help the family of those left behind with the proceeds of this run. It also aids returning military and those overseas.

I am a proud supported of the Riders and I help out with the run every year. Registration is 9 to 11 am at the Legion, 1234 Main Street with kickstands up at eleven. There will be food, entertainment and raffles. Cost is only $15 per person. We would love to see you there.

As you can see, I will have plenty to do this weekend and now so do you! See you in Susquehanna.
