Johnson City police say a man who was wanted in connection with a shooting incident in the village has been arrested.

Authorities say 20-year-old Spencer Chapman of Johnson City is now in custody.

Village police Tuesday evening announced that Chapman has been charged with second-degree attempted murder, a felony.

Investigators last Friday released a "Wanted" poster as they sought help from the public in locating Chapman. They said he was wanted in connection with an April 9 attack on a 37-year-old man who lived on Grand Avenue.

Detectives had previously arrested three other suspects they believed were involved in a dispute that ended with the man being beaten, stabbed and shot. The attack occurred on Grand Avenue near Boland Drive.

Those suspects - 17-year-old Tacoma Chapman, 18-year-old Jonathan Chapman and 18-year-old Caleb Casteline - also have been charged with second-degree attempted murder.
