The Sock Out Cancer benefit concert set for Friday night at the Forum in Binghamton will feature hit music from the 1980's.  The Philip Myers Band will perform "Music's Greatest Decade: The 80's" to raise money to assist financially distressed cancer patients and their families pay for non-medical necessities like food, transportation and housing while enabling patients to focus on fighting cancer.

Performing with the Philip Myers Band will be Alex Ligertwood, former lead singer with Santana and Kevin Chalfant, former lead vocalist with Journey.  According to information from Sock Out Cancer, LLC, which is wholly owned by the Security Mutual Life Foundation, participating hospital foundations and other charitable organizations identity eligible individuals to determine recipients.

Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com and at the Floyd L Maines Veterans Memorial Arena Box Office.  Prices begin at $35. Some tickets are still available. Anyone purchasing tickets in person at The Arena Box Office will receive a free pair of Sock Out Cancer Socks, a ten dollar value.
