Shootout at Tombstone Saloon
I found this Strange But True story this morning, but I ran out of time this morning to talk about it.
When you think back to the Wild Wild West there were always gunfights. One of the most famous was probably the gunfight at the O. K. Corral which happened back in 1881. It included a couple of cowboys, that were dealing in illegal activities, in a shootout against the law. Tombstone is where that shooting took place. It was featured in a bunch of movies. Well, I guess the Wild West, is still a little wild.
This past Friday night, yes, in the year 2017, a person was shot at a saloon in Tombstone Arizona. According to Tuscon.com, The guy was only shot in the leg. I guess people still carry a lot of guns out west. The shooting took place a bar called Doc Holliday's Saloon. Doc Holliday was one of the policemen that were at the gunfight at the O.K. Corral back in 1881. Patrons are told to leave told to leave their guns with the bartenders, which they did, but a guy named James Roberson got into an argument with another customer. The Argument turned into a fight, and James ended up shooting the man in the let. Roberson was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault. You can read the full story on the Tucson.com website.
