Broome County is scaring up some seasonal fun with an annual contest at Otsiningo Park. Entries are being taken for the 6th annual Scarecrow Display and Contest in October.

The Broome County Department of Parks, Recreation and Youth Services says individuals, families, neighborhoods, organizations, clubs and other groups are free to come up with a design and construct a scarecrow for the contest.

Entries are due by September 24. The family-friendly displays will be completed and set up at the park by October 3 for the public to see and vote on.
