I grew up in the small town of Warren Center Pa and it's given me so many great childhood memories. One of the things that I enjoyed was the Warren Center Field Days on Father's Day weekend.

When I was young, the big draw was the parade on Saturday afternoon. All the different fire departments would come from near and far in their fire trucks. As a kid, it was great seeing the different vehicles moving at a slow pace so that I could enjoy watching them.

There is something special about a small-town fire truck and now I have the chance to own one...and you could too. The Sayre Borough is raffling off a classic fire truck from the Sayre Fire Department.

How Awesome Is This

It's a yellow and blue 1993 KME fire engine with over 14,000 miles on it and according to WENY News, it's been out of service since 2013. They don't have a need for it anymore and instead of taking up space, they want to find a new home for this old fire truck below

They decided to have a raffle with all of the proceeds benefitting the Sayre Historical Society Museum and the Sayre Public Library. Both of these organizations struggled last year because of the coronavirus pandemic and this is a great way to get rid of the truck and help them at the same time. WIN-WIN!

So get your $100 raffle ticket before August 28th when they'll be drawing the winner of the classic fire truck during the Sayre Borough End of Summer celebration. You don't need to be present to win but how cool would it be, if you were there when they call your name.

What would you do with it?
