The Susquehanna Valley Sabers clobbered the visiting Watkins Glen/Odessa-Montour Seneca Indians in a Section 4 high school football semifinal playoff game by a final score of 46-6.  The top-ranked team in New York State's Class C competition by the New York State Sportswriter's Association improves to 9-0 while the Seneca Indians fall to 4-5.

Logan Haskell was outstanding once again for the Sabers.  The junior launched a 63-yard touchdown pass to Mason McCormack on the first play from scrimmage to give the Sabers an early 6-0 edge.  He followed that up with three rushing touchdowns of 48, 87 and 11 yards.  On the day he carried the ball nine ties for 238 yards and added 90 more yards by going 4-6 in the air. That totals four TD's and 328 total yards.

S-V led by 26 points at halftime and never looked back.  The Sabers had beaten the Seneca Indians in the season opener at Susquehanna Valley 40-0.  The game was moved back from 1:30 to 3:30 as both schools had student athletes taking their SAT exams.

Up next for the streaking Sabers is a Section 4 Class C championship appearance against Windsor at Johnson City on Saturday.  Susquehanna Valley defeated Windsor 29-0 in the regular season.  The Black Knights advanced with a 28-26 victory over Newark Valley in a game that went into overtime.
