Wow, where did the Summer go? The season began for me on May 1st when the campground opened where I have my camper parked, and it seems to me like it was just a few weeks ago.

The six months from that date until the end of October, is my favorite time of the year. The other six months, well, you know.

So, we have come to the Labor Day Weekend, or as some call it, "The un-official end of Summer weekend.' Whatever. I boycott that statement. Summer will continue until September 23rd and hopefully warm temperatures will continue through a good portion of October. We can only hope, right?

This was a very odd Summer. We haven't had some much rain in quite a while and the thermometer hit over 90 degrees more times than we've experience in a long time.

As we celebrate this weekend, all of us at 99.1 The Whale wish you a fun, rockin' time, and we thank you for listening and being a part of the Whale Nation! The rest of 2018 is going to be a busy one for us, and you are included in all of it.

We have Binghamton's Largest Garage and Craft Sale, Parlor City Oktoberfest, Binghamton Halloween Parade, a few more surprises in store for you September through December and we're excited to bring them all to you.

Happy Labor Day from Jim, Doug, Jay, Kat, Glenn and me!
