$889,819 dollars is going to the Trade Adjustment Center at B.U. that serves New York, New Jersey and Puerto Rico.

A news release from the Commerce Department says the E.D.A. grants support 11 Trade Adjustment Assistance Centers that help manufacturers affected by imports adjust to increasing global competition.

According to its website, The State University of New York Foundation is separate from the University “and does not receive services provided to New York State agencies or state appropriation to support corporate functions.”

The Research Foundation was founded in 1951 and can utilize research capabilities in numerous disciplines in short-term sponsored programs.

The Binghamton foundation was the only organization named in the Commerce Department announcement that was located in New York State.
