Unless it's a radio station promotion or my Mobile DJ Company has a gig, I usually spend a quiet evening at home on New Year's Eve.
Maybe as I've grown older, I have lost any desire to party the night away.

Here are some reasons you may consider to do the same, according to Uncoached.com.

Holidays should not be excuses to do things.
You don't need a holiday to tell you to spend time with friends and family.

Fill 2013 with fun things to do.

Traveling, dinner, drinks and cover charges makes for an expensive New Year's Eve.

Crowds suck. If you enjoy getting pushed and prodded by a bunch of strangers, go for it.
Enjoy battling the crowds on New Year's Eve.

If you live in a cold area, you know it's a pain to go out into the elements, and you've got to bundle up to stay warm from point A to point B and beyond.

Then there are the amateur party folk.
They don't do well consuming too much liquor.
Plus the roadways will be much more dangerous, unfortunately.

Either way, have fun and be safe.
Please remember, don't drink and drive.
