Southern Tier residents gathered in front of the Binghamton Federal Building to express concern that not all votes will be counted in the presidential election.

Organizer Linda Quilty said the Wednesday afternoon demonstration was one of many being held across the United States.

Quilty said the goal was to emphasize the need for patience. She said "the results are going to take awhile." She said "we need to make sure that every vote counts."

A few people spoke during the rally on Henry Street. Several participants held signs. The demonstration lasted about one hour.

Some motorists driving past the gathering honked vehicle horns as they drove by.
