Quaker Lake Bridge Replacement Delayed

The high waters are putting another delay on a Susquehanna County bridge replacement project.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation had planned to start the construction for the Quaker Lake Road bridge over Little Rhiney Creek in Silver Lake Township on April 3.

PennDOT now hopes to start the work April 10 with construction finished in late June.

Motorists will be directed to detour along Route 167, Silver Creek Road and Route 29.

These new plans could also change due to unfavorable weather or unforeseen complications.
