33-year-old Shawn Kostick turned down the deal that would have locked him up the minimum of fifteen years to life in prison for murder.

Kostick is accused of killing 59-year-old Harry Kostick between September 1 and October 3, 2014 on Lincoln Avenue in Endicott and writing thousands of dollars in checks from his dad’s bank account.

The younger Kostick is charged with murder, manslaughter, intimidating a witness, forgery and contempt.

In addition with accusations that he killed his father, Kostick is accused of threatening witnesses.  He was charged in March following the opening of a sealed indictment.

If he is convicted of the original charges, the maximum sentence could be 25-years to life in prison.
