A company that makes pharmacy automation systems is taking over a 91,000 square foot site near the new Binghamton University Pharmacy School in Johnson City, centralizing its operations currently spread over three locations in the Village.

Innovation, the makers of PharmASSIST systems, is making renovations to move into a site on what has been known as Azon Road and is now being called “Innovation Way.”

Innovation CEO Mary Reno, daughter of founder Harry Boyer, says the company has secured several large contracts over the past few months from both government and commercial customers, have hired 68 new employees and are expecting to hire more.  Reno says, “Due to this rapid growth and the need to build and test these large, high-volume pharmacy systems, we needed to expand our space.”  She says Innovation has a goal to have everyone located at a central campus location.
