According to The Atlantic.com a new study was recently performed that concluded that people who exercise have larger brains. The brain loses size with age, sometimes up to 25 percent in certain parts! Research shows that people who exercise have less brain shrinkage as they get older. Put down those crossword puzzles or at least do them while on a treadmill. As a Fitness Instructor myself, if you have never exercise before, I suggest getting a friend or your significant other on board with you. This way you can each hold each other responsible and will be more likely to work out. Plus, who doesn't want someone to chat with once in a while? Physical activity and an active social life are keys to keeping your brain in shape as you get older!
