Memorial Day ceremonies are being held all around the nation.  Locally, many communities held parades and ceremonies honoring military personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the United States of America.

In Binghamton the Memorial Day parade stepped off at noon.  Veterans groups, military personnel, police and fire officials and many others took part.  The parade began at American Legion Post 80 at 76 Main Street and continued onto Court Street to the Broome County Courthouse where ceremonies were held.

Along with the parades and honor ceremonies are many other activities throughout the day.  The Binghamton Rumble Ponies are hosting the Trenton Thunder at NYSEG Stadium in a game between the Yankees and Mets affiliates.  The game began at 1:05 P.M. and is being aired on CBS Sports Radio 1360 AM.  And, the General Clinton Canoe Regatta in Bainbridge concludes today with the canoe race, games for the kids and plenty of entertainment.  The National Weather Service predicts a sunny day with a high in the low 70's and no rain expected.
