It's funny some of the things I learn while surfing the web.
Stuff I did not know existed, and things I find hard to believe, but it must be true because it's right there in print form, and everything you read is on the up and up, correct?

Here's some things I did not know and you may find interesting, amazing or just plain stupid:

Did you know that dogs’ brains are the intelligence equivalent of a human two-year-old? True!

New this year: Candy cane shot glasses. A great holiday gift idea. It's a red-and-white striped candy shot glass costing 5 dollars.

Pantone, which is the color authority for fashion designers around the world, has announced the 2013 color of the year: Emerald.

Dermatologists, have found that cell phones are full of bacteria, and when pressed up against your chin and cheek, combined with the heat the device gives off, along with the oil secreted by your pores, breeds zits.

Researchers say the reason you hear Christmas music in stores much earlier that we'd like, is because the music causes you to want to spend more money. The study in Britain had found that these holiday tunes put people in the mood to holiday shop.

Drug smugglers in Mexico are always thinking. They have taken note of those T-shirt cannons used at sporting events and concerts by designing them and filling the canisters with marijuana to shoot the drugs across the border into the United States.

Surfing for porn through the Google search engine? Well, they have made it harder to find those pornographic images. Google is trying to avoid those images from appearing when surfing for non porn related sites.

Did you know that the chemistry of the way steak is cooked makes it very unhealthy? Apparently as the proteins and sugars come together at high temperatures, it leads to age-related diseases and makes you fat.

The Federal Communications Commission finally decided to deal with the annoying volume of TV commercials.
The new law, called The Commercial Advertisement Loudness Mitigation Act is set up to make sure that TV stations, cable operators and satellite TV providers maintain standard audio levels to commercial advertisements - meaning those commercials will no longer blow you out of your chair. They will have the same level as the program that airs before and after it.
