Nine Early-Voting Days for New York State Primary Elections

New York's primary election day is coming up late this month but voters will have an opportunity to cast their ballots before then.

Two early voting centers will be open in Broome County starting Saturday. People enrolled in parties with primary contests will be able to vote through June 21.

Early voting will take place at the Broome County Public Library on Court Street in Binghamton and at the Oakdale Mall in Johnson City.

Daniel Reynolds, the county Democratic election commissioner, said Broome residents may vote at either site regardless of where they live.

Speaking on WNBF Radio's Binghamton Now program, Reynolds said voters may wish to cast their ballots early instead of going to the polls on June 23, which is primary election day.

Reynolds said health precautions will be in place at polling sites because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Voters are being asked to wear masks. Election workers also will use face masks and sit behind protective screens.

Voting equipment, including the stylus used by voters to sign in electronically, will be wiped down. Signs and markings will be in place to assist with appropriate social distancing.

Saturday, June 13: Noon to 5 p.m.

Sunday, June 14: Noon to 5 p.m.

Monday, June 15: Noon to 8 p.m.

Tuesday, June 16: Noon to 8 p.m.

Wednesday, June 17: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Thursday, June 18: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Friday, June 19: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Saturday, June 20: Noon to 5 p.m.

Sunday, June 21: Noon to 5 p.m.
