News of the Weird Runner Up: Tide For Tokes

I happened to notice, lately, that Tide Detergent is being taken off store shelves and put behind the counter for sale. I know it is a popular item for shoplifters, but why?

I got my answer courtesy of NYMag.com. It is currency in the drug trade. Not kidding! Want a $10 bag of pot? Swap a 150 ounce bottle of Tide for it. Apparently, drug dealers need clean clothes too.
