News of the Weird Runner Up: Homeowner Hits Firefighter with Shovel

You would think a homeowner, with a fire in his backyard, would welcome firefighters with open arms. Not this one.

Gregory Sean Turner was intently watching flames in his yard, fed by a mattress, blinds, a ceiling fan and other appliances, when a firefighter on the scene turned a hose to the blaze. Turner didn't like that and walked up to the hero then smacked him in the head with a shovel!

Needless to say, Turner was tased and taken to jail. He apparently started the fire to amuse himself. And naturally the location of this incident was...Florida!
