A Newark Valley man is being charged with felony burglary in connection with two break-ins May 27 in Owego.

Police say they were called to a home on Academy Street for a break-in where the property owner confronted a man in the garage and the suspect fled.  Moments later, police got a call of a burglary in progress on McMaster Street.

26 year old Matthew Ball was found by authorities who said he matched the description of the suspect in the Academy Street incident.

Ball is charged with two felony counts of burglary and was found to be wanted on a petit larceny warrant in Tioga County and for criminal impersonation in Johnson City.

He was sent to the Tioga County Jail on $20,000 bail.
