New York State Senator Fred Akshar is planning to announce an expansion of the Veterans’ Peer-to-Peer Support Program and Legal Aid for Local Veterans.

The Republican is to announce 15-thousand dollars in funding for the Legal Aid Society of Mid New York to provide legal services to local veterans and 120-thousand dollars included in the state budget to establish its own Dwyer Peer-to-Peer veterans’ outreach program.  The program is to be administered through the Broome County Office of Veteran Services, which selected Clear Path for Veterans to help extend their services to Tioga and Chenango Counties.
