I wanted to use this as a Strange But True story this morning, but there was no way I could describe these pictures on the air. That's when I decided I would blog about it so you can enjoy the pictures as well.

With all that's going on in the world it's good to be able to laugh every now and then and these pictures will at least make you smile.

According to MSN, there's an annual contest that's held up in Canada called The Hair Freezing contest. The competition takes place at Takhini Hot Pools in Yukon Canada.  This year's contest featured more than 280 entrants that competed in five different categories that included Best Male, Best Group, Best Female, Nongshim's  People's Choice, and Tim Horton's Most Creative. According to the report to make your hair freeze the temperature must be at least 20 degrees below Celsius which is 4 below Fahrenheit.

Apparently you dip your head in the hot tub and then style your hair how you want it to freeze. Then you pose for your picture and hope for the best. The cold air will slowly freeze your hair, including your eyebrows, eyelashes, and facial hair as well.

MSN reports that the contest began in 2011 and its popularity has been growing every year. Every year. Click here to see some of the pictures.
