Motorists will have to pay even more attention to vehicles with flashing lights on New York State roadways in a few days.

The state’s Move Over Law that requires drivers to move over a lane, if possible, to give room to road crews and police is being expanded to also include vehicles with blue and green flashing lights for fire and medical responders.

Motorists face tickets and fines if they don’t comply.

The expanded definition of the law starts in the middle of the month.
