Special Message from Doug Mosher
This past Wednesday I said goodbye to the Whale Morning Show and introduced our new morning show host Jim Free.
I was offered a management position in our company, which is a promotion and probably the greatest reward someone who loves being in the broadcasting business could receive.
Quite often in my profession you rarely get a chance to say goodbye to your listening audience, it’s just the nature of the business.
I grew up listening to the Whale, so becoming the morning show host was one of the highlights of my broadcast career.
Don Morgan and Mary Beth Walsh hired me in December of 2013 and I will always be thankful to both of them for giving me a chance to come back to a place I started my career several years ago.
I have enjoyed being the morning show host on Binghamton’s Classic Rock Station these past three years, and I want to thank all of the Whale listeners for supporting me during this time.
I am still here and you will hear me from time to time on the Whale, and the other Townsquare Media Binghamton Stations.
Jim Free will continue to keep you entertained and rockin' weekday mornings, Freezone has been a close friend and broadcast brother to me for the many years, and all of us at 991 The Whale are extremely happy that he is our new morning show host.
In closing I would just like to say to all the Whale Listeners.Continue to Live… Laugh… and ROCK!
