The plans for a medical incinerator in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania are on hold.

Opponents have protested the project at a site off Interstate 81 at Gibson citing air and water quality concerns and issues involving the rural makeup of the community.

The development was to be part of a larger industrial park on a 114 acre site off Jennings Road across from the Flying J Plaza just off the interstate.

Tyler Corners of Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania says the project has been discontinued for now and the development’s application with state regulators has been withdrawn.
