McDonald’s Selling Quarter Pounder Scented Candles
Years ago, I remember climbing into my car one afternoon about an hour after consuming a Whopper in my car. I could still smell the Whopper. I took a deep breath and thought to myself, “I really wish they would make Whopper scented candles”.
Well Burger King didn't take to my idea, but McDonald's has decided sell Quarter Pounder scented candle packs.
Each candle has a different scent including; beef, bun, ketchup, cheese, pickle, and onion scent. If you burn the candles in unison, you will smell the scent of a Quarter Pounder with cheese.
I guess if you want to have a lot of candles burning at once, this would be a good option for you. Or, maybe if you don't like pickles, you can give that candle to a relative you don't care for. Personally, I'd rather have just one candle it smelled like all the ingredients.
KFC had some success with their gravy scented candles, and now McDonald's is trying to do the same thing.
It made me think that some local businesses can cash in on the candle craze as well. Lupo's or Salmida can make spiedie sented candles. Little Venice can make candles that smell like spaghetti sauce. Cortese can make candles that smell like their pork chop Milanese. And Thirsty's can make candles that smell like their chicken wings.
What Binghamton area eateries would you like to see make their signature dish in candle scent?
