We all have something that really intrigues us.

Whether it be cars, sports, babes or whatever, it's something we tend to, at times, obsess over.

For me, the above certainly are on my list, but one thing that I find fascinating for reasons I can't really explain, are maps.

More specifically, satellite generated maps and Google's Street View.

I guess it's because I love to travel, having had the pleasure of driving across the US, England, Scotland and Wales.

Put me behind the wheel and say "drive", I will happily oblige.

But, since I don't get to travel much these days, I turn to those online maps and street views, because they allow you to virtually see the world from your computer!

Street View is a 360 degree view of any location Google cars have traveled, and you can literally drive down the street and look completely around with the touch of your mouse or keyboard.

There aren't many roads those cars haven't traveled and photographed around the world.

Google has recently updated over 250,000 miles of roads, and they doubled the number of famous locations that allow you to peek inside.

While it's not the real thing, just think of it as a vacation to wherever you want to visit from the comforts of your home, and the best thing about it is, it won't cost you anything.

Plus, you won't have to deal with the long lines and hassle of airports, congested traffic, and overcrowded tourist sites.

Happy 'virtual' traveling!
