27-year-old Tyler DeCamp was found guilty of two counts of felony assault, evidence tampering and resisting arrest in May in the incident that left two men with serious injuries. He was cleared of an attempted murder charge.  He was sentenced on October 18 but an appeal is expected.

DeCamp was one of several men accused of gang assault due to the number of people who were involved in the fight outside the McDonald’s restaurant on Main Street at around 10:30 at night on December 20th.

Five people were charged in the incident that sent a 35-year-old and 32-year-old to the hospital with stab wounds.

The defense claimed DeCamp had tried to defuse the situation, had prior struggles with drug dependence and had no previous felony record.
