Long-time broadcasting executive Roger Conklin, Sr. from Conklin, NY has died at the age of 84. He was employed in local television and radio broadcasting for over three decades. Born in 1936 he worked in management positions with several radio companies.

Conklin was Sales Manager for Stoner Broadcasting in the 1970's and was promoted to General Manager of the group's Binghamton Radio stations WNBF and WQYT in the early 1980's when then General Manager Kitty Bocock was transferred to manage Stoner Broadcasting's stations in Buffalo. Conklin remained as General Manager through several ownership and call letter changes and oversaw the cluster's addition of WAAL, WKOP (now WYOS) and WWYL (now KISS 104.1). He also supervised the stations' move from the Security Mutual Building to their current home (under ownership of Townsquare Media) at 59 Court Street in Binghamton.

Visitation hours for Roger Conklin, Sr. will be held on Friday, February 21 from 4:30 to 7:00 PM and Saturday, February 22 from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM at the Conklin Presbyterian Church, 1175 Conklin Road in Conklin.  A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday beginning at 11:00 AM.
