Living the Bachelor Life; For a Couple of Days
My wife Chris and a couple of her friends are heading south tomorrow morning for a 3-day women-only golf trip. A couple of friends of ours moved from Binghamton to Wilmington North Carolina about a year-and-a-half ago. Our friend Graham has been organizing this golf tournament for a couple of months now. At first, my wife wasn't going to go, but I told her she should go and have fun with her friends. Besides, the weather in North Carolina is supposed to be nice this time of year. However, looking at the forecast for Wilmington, it's only going to be in the 50s this weekend. It's still better than what we will be dealing with in Binghamton, but it's not going to be in the 80s like it was last week.
So it looks like I will be on my own for dinner the next few nights. Saturday night I am going to St Patrick's party a week ahead of the big day. That is always a good time with live music, Irish and Italian food, and a crap ton of beer.
I'm worried that I might not hear my alarm clock and Chris won't be there to shake me and tell me to 'shut that damn thing off already'. So if I'm late for work Friday or Monday, it's probably because my wife wasn't home to push me out of bed.
