Labor Day Weekend – Un-official End Of Summer?

I love Summer.
I am not a fan of Winter and the colder parts of Fall and Spring.
So, I enjoy every day attached to the word "Summer."
And that's why I HATE that every Labor Day Weekend is labeled "The Un-Official End of Summer."
Ah, no...Summer has about 3 weeks left to it, and (hopefully) it will be warm through the end of September and through much of October to make me happy.
Just because the kiddies are back in school, vacations have mostly ended, and many people are back at work for the remainer of the year, dosen't validate the end of Summer, at least for me!
Just a pet peeve on my part...The Un-Official End of Summer...bah humbug....don't believe it.
And thanks for putting up with my rant...long live the Summer of 2012!
