Jobs Are Available in the Twin Tiers

People looking for a new career in the area need to get their resumes in order.

The Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce is holding a job and career fair Friday, June 16 in partnership with the Visions Federal Credit Union.

People looking for jobs can meet with over 50 companies and representatives from Workforce New York and the New York State Department of Labor from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the SUNY Broome Community College Ice Center on the campus in the Town of Dickinson.  Interviews are being held between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.

The job fair is free and attendees are encouraged to bring many copies of their resume.  The Labor Department will scan each resume to enter into a database that companies can access after the event.

The Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce says the job fairs have been held for over a decade.

Job opportunities range from the Children’s Home of the Wyoming Commerce and ACHIEVE to Worldwide Sport Supply, Tioga Downs, and Raymond Corporation.
