Jimi Hendrix – Classic Rock Pick of the Week [WATCH]

It was February 24th, 1969 and the Jimi Hendrix Experience was at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England for a show. It would be the last show in the UK for Jimi and the band.

Jimi Hendrix died in London on September 18th 1970. I can only imagine the number of great tunes he would have introduced to the world had he unfortunately left us at such a young age. The way he mastered the guitar...no words can describe it properly.

Some of my favorites include Are You Experienced, Hey Joe, If 6 was 9, Purple Haze, Little Wing and Voodoo Chile. For today's Classic Rock Pick, lets re-live the Jimi Hendrix Experience with a concert performance of Purple Haze at the Atlanta Pop Festival. Enjoy that guitar solo at the end.
