Police say they've arrested a suspect after a Town of Union residence was unlawfully entered on two separate occasions.

Authorities say 27-year-old Robert Shearer of Johnson City has been charged with two felony counts of third-degree burglary. He also faces counts of petit larceny, criminal mischief and criminal possession of stolen property.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, Shearer was found to be in possession of items reported stolen from the Town of Union home. It was not revealed where in the town the incidents occurred.

Investigators say the burglaries happened on Wednesday and Saturday. He was arrested by a detective on Saturday.

Although some of the property reportedly taken in the burglaries was recovered in Johnson City, it was not known whether any other items were still missing.
