BREAKING 11/7/22 4:00 a.m.: Emergency services officials say a tractor trailer has crashed on New York State Route 17 eastbound in Tioga County, shutting down a portion of the highway.

The crash happened at around 3:53 a.m. Monday, November 17 just west of Exit 64, which is the Owego exit.

Authorities say the highway was being shut down at Exit 63, Lounsberry. It's believed vehicles were to be detoured over Stanton Hill Road (Route 509).

The Southern Tier Expressway was being closed in the eastbound direction only. Westbound traffic was not being impacted as of 4 a.m.

Few details are available as the story is developing. Initial reports indicate no one was injured.
