Passport Fair in Windsor
Time is running out to get an appointment for a new or updated passport at an event in Windsor this week.
Broome County Clerk Joseph Mihalko and Village of Windsor Mayor Ronald Harting have announced the Clerk’s Office is hosting a passport fair Wednesday, August 3 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Village Community House. The passport fair is by appointment only. Residents can book an appointment by going online to https://passportfair.setmore.com.
The Village of Windsor Community House is located at 107 Main Street. Application forms will available and photos can be taken onsite.
Residents can also download a copy of the passport application in advance at www.travel.state.gov.
Applicants should bring an original or certified copy of their birth certificate with a raised seal and both parents name, their photo identification and two checks to cover the fees. Cash and credit cards will not be taken at the event. Applicants should also have the place and dates of birth of their parents to correctly fill out their passport application. Expediated applications cannot be processed at the event. Children under 18 must have their parents present for a passport application.
The fees are 130 dollars for adult applications and 100 dollars for children under the age of 16. Passport cards are also available that are only good for land and cruise ship travel. The fees for those cards are 30 dollars for adult and 15 dollars for children under the age of 16. There is a 35-dollar processing fee for each application and a 10-dollar fee for passport photos.
Motorists can also purchase E-ZPass tags at the event on Wednesday.
