The Rumble Ponies announced that they will be hosting a watch party at Mirabito Stadium so fans can watch Scherzer's start against the Hartford Yard Goats together.

Scherzer is currently working his way back to the New York Mets and Major League Baseball after a left oblique injury which has kept him off the roster for well over a month. Despite his absence, the Mets currently have the second best record in baseball and expect both Scherzer and Jacob deGrom back in the near future.

Max Scherzer's start at Mirabito Stadium last week brought a record crowd to the park for fans' chance to see a surefire hall of famer in person. He threw 65 pitches over 3.1 innings, gave up two runs and struck out six. Despite serving up a home run on his final pitch of the game, he walked back to the dugout in the fourth inning with a four run lead and to massive applause from the fans in the park. The Rumble Ponies ended up losing the game, but there was no doubt that every fan left the park happy to have experienced a Max Scherzer start in person.

The game against the Yard Goats will begin at 7:05 pm with the gates to Mirabito Stadium opening at 6:05 pm. And if you can't make it to the park in person, you can listen to the game on WNBF with the pregame starting at 6:50 pm.
