Ascension Lourdes has opened two more sections of their health care facilities at the former Oakdale Mall.

The Lourdes Pavilion medical offices on the upper floor of the former Sears building in Oakdale Commons opened for business November 1 offering primary care, walk-in service, heart care, orthopedics, urology, endocrinology and lung care. Lab and x-ray services are also provided at the site in Johnson City.

The rehabilitation center and Health and Fitness gym opened on the lower level last spring.

Lourdes President and CEO Kathy Connerton and doctors were at the ribbon cutting ceremonies Tuesday to celebrate the opening and expansion of space at Oakdale Commons.

Connerton says the Lourdes Pavilion is providing a kind of one-stop shopping for patients. She says: “they can come and walk out with a care plan from multiple disciplines and not have to go to multiple visits and multiple locations and try to put together all the advice that they’re getting from very well qualified professionals.”

Lourdes new rehabilitation center features an underwater treadmill as well as other equipment to aid in long-term recovery and wellness strategies for patients.

The work on the Lourdes complex at the former retail center situated at Reynolds Road and Harry L. Drive in Johnson City is continuing along with the ongoing development at the Oakdale Commons mixed use facilities.  Lourdes Pavilion is continuing its planned expansion with the buildout of the facility to be completed next year.  One of the final pieces of that plan is the opening of an on-site pharmacy.
