Northland Power expects to add more units each week until the project reaches "full output" by the end of the month.

Nearby residents noticed the blades of four turbines near Route 41 in motion this week.

The 122 megawatt project consists of 26 turbines. Four are located in the town of Windsor with the majority of the units in the town of Sanford.

Commercial operation of the Bluestone Wind Project initially was scheduled to begin by the end of last year. But the timetable was revised due to various issues, including delays in making the connection to NYSEG's network.
