Guilty pleas for a Windsor man and Norwich resident will translate into prison time for both.

A Windsor man will be sentenced in December to up to four years in prison after admitting he threatened to shoot the owner of a motorcycle he stole.

The Broome County District Attorney’s Office says 37-year-old Scott Frost pleaded guilty in Broome County Court on Monday, October 4 to felony Robbery in the Third Degree in connection with the vehicle theft earlier this year in Eastern Broome County.

According to the account from the District Attorney’s office, Frost reportedly forcibly stolen the motorcycle from the owner in the Town of Windsor on August 14.  Authorities add Frost also threatened to shoot the victim.

At the time, the Windsor man was on parole after serving time for a 2014 burglary in Tioga County.

There was no information available concerning the 2014 burglary case or how long Frost had spent in prison for that conviction.

In the motorcycle theft, Frost faces a minimum of two years and up to four years in New York State Prison when he is sentenced in a couple months.

In another case in Broome County Court this week, the Broome County District Attorney’s Office says a Norwich woman is expected to be sent to prison for up to three years after pleading guilty to felony possession of a firearm.

Authorities say 30-year-old Jordann Maroney was found to have an illegal, unlicensed 22-caliber revolver as well as cocaine and methamphetamine in her possession during a traffic stop in the Town of Barker last March, 8.

Both of the cases had been investigated by the Broome County Sheriff’s office.
